Khurmastiin Egshiglen was the debut solo concert of Darkhanbayr Sainjargal, presented at the Mongolian Grand Theatre of National Art on March 28, 2026. The program showcased the expressive range of the morin khuur (horse-head fiddle) through a repertoire that combined traditional Mongolian folk melodies, khoomei (overtone singing), and contemporary concert works. The concert featured solo performances by Darkhanbayr Sainjargal, as well as collaborations with the Mongolian Grand National Orchestra under the direction of conductor E. Munkhbayar, offering a distinctive fusion of Mongolia’s musical heritage and orchestral artistry.
